In Class - Discuss page 381, #2-6 (homework from yesterday concerning the Russian Revolution). Begin watching George Orwell's "Animal Farm." See how the movie closely relates to the people and events of the Russian Revolution in 1917 (handout movie/revolution character list).

EXTRA CREDIT - watch the following documentary (approximately 45 minutes in length) concerning the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy. After watching this documentary, you will write a one page reaction to the film. Tell me what you learned, what you thought was interesting, and whether or not you believe in this prophecy. You are then to find three (3) articles concerning the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy. You will need to summarize the articles (minimum of 1/2 page) and then compare and contrast the three articles. Overall, you will be writing at least 3 pages. You will turn in your one page reaction, three (3) article summaries (1/2 page in length) with articles, and your comparison/contrast of the articles (minimum 1/2 page in length).
This assignment is due to me no later than Monday, March 9 by 3:00 pm. Late work will not be accepted. Completion of this extra credit assignment is worth 60 points.
