In Class - Continue watching "When the Levees Broke." Continue to take notes concerning issues of racism that you see throughout the documentary. The class discussion has been moved to Friday. Tomorrow we will spend doing some research concerning the roles of the federal and local governments prior to, during, and after Hurricane Katrina.
Homework - On Friday, you will turn in: article summaries (2) concerning race relations in the United States including your four paragraphs of talking points that you will use during the discussion on Friday.
NOTE - This is a big assignment worth at least 120 points (50 for the discussion). Come prepared to participate and work. This is the last big assignment before grades go out next week!
