Sunday, the day of supposed rest

Just thought I would take some time and share some of my thoughts.  For those interested, keep reading.  If you're not, then to each their own.  No worries.  But if you have read thus far, I suppose you may want to engage your curiousity and keep reading.

I realize that life is too short.  We owe it to ourselves and our fellow brothers and sisters to lead the best life humanly possible.  We need to start accepting and molding our talents to our life goals.  We need to contemplate post secondary education.  We need to accept responsibility that life is what you make it.  I guarantee the life will give you lemons, and it is up to us to strive to surpass even our own expectations and make the best damn lemonade ever.  Want to be the best in everything that you do.  Challenge yourself, in all aspects of your life, to achieve perfection.  Now I realize that perfection seems to be impossible, however, in order to achieve perfection, excellence is expected.  You must have the drive and motivation to achieve excellence because doing so will bring you one step closer to perfection.  It all starts with you.

Thanks for reading, and I will you leave with a quote that pretty much says it all.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."Mahatma Gandhi

What an intriguing post Mr. Palo.I as well believe that humanity should live life to the fullest and we should strive for the things that seem impossible because we are only given one life in this world.

there is a poster in your room that i saw when i first walked into your room on the first day back from winter break to start the 2nd semester, it pretty much summed up to me what kind of person you are without you telling me anything about your self. it says something like "dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today." you are very optimistic and you see the glass half full when everyone says it's half empty, and as a teacher this is a very important characteristic which is why i admire your class and your teachings, you're the only teacher i can say that too. keep up the good work, and i promise one day you'll get repaid in some manner of a blessing or something of that nature.

Kevin, thanks for the kind words. I am blessed every day for having the opportunity to teach young and curious minds.

'In order to achieve perfection, excellence is expected' the day you said that to our class I wrote it down because that's so true. It stuck in my mind. Literally Mr. Palo the talks or whatever you think of them as inspire a lot in me. Sometimes I just sit there and think to myself damn he’s good. You speak so passionately about things. I’m really glad I could have the opportunity of you being my teacher. ‘If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost, that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.’- Henry David Thoreau

What seems to motivate me the most is Music, since as far back as I could remember. It has helped me through Education, Pursuit Of Happiness, and the Fulfillment of My Life's Purpose. Which is to, Live Life To The Fullest, and to Give It Your All. Tommy Rogers From, "Between The Buried & Me." Has Taught me so much in his new album, "Thomas Giles." Especially, "Hypoxia." Which is about how we should never give up, and to hang in there. To, "Keep "Moving, Keep Swimming, to Keep Breathing." We could all learn something from the wisdom of others, however, the real wisdom and talent, is found within ourselves.... -Jimmy Alonso Arellano
