The "public face" of the Islamic Cultural Center to be built in New York City has decided to step down and focus on other initiatives.  Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man that proposed the cultural center has decided to focus his energy on creating a global movement to fight extremism and build religious tolerance among the many religious faiths in the world.
