Jon Stewart provides an interesting perspective about Senate Republicans trying to use the filibuster to delay a vote on  the 9/11 First Responder Bill.  The 111th Lame Duck Congress is trying to pass a series of measures including the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell and the Dream Act.  However, Republicans in the Senate will do nothing until discussion over the Bush Era Tax Cuts is finalized.  These tax cuts are to expire at the end of the year.
