In Class - We will be going to the library to do some research about the state, local, and federal governments during Hurricane Katrina. The handout will be due on Friday. Also, I handed out a packet with some interesting statistics from Hurricane Katrina. The very last page is an article that needs to be completed (Double Journal Entry) and due on Friday as well.
Homework - Question of the week due by Friday. Continue to prepare for the class discussion on Friday regarding race relations in this country. Due on Friday: Article summaries (2) from articles on race relations; talking points paragraphs (4); library handout; double journal entry. Also, you will need to participate in the discussion on Friday (50 points) in order to receive credit.
